Henrik studied French, Spanish and Portuguese at Cambridge and graduated with a first in 2017. During his degree, he founded a tech startup, a social enterprise and began angel investing through crowdfunding platforms. His social navigation and discovery startup RendezVu grew to over a thousand global users and access-led tutoring marketplace The Oxbridge Initiative was live in six countries. Henrik started angel investing in 2015 and has built a portfolio of >40 investments, including Monzo (2016), Revolut (2017), Freetrade (2017) and Pod Point (IPO 2021).
Henrik’s professional career started in private equity at Ardian while living in Paris on his year abroad. After graduation, he joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the investment banking division where he worked on UK M&A and IPO deals for two years.
Henrik joined Playfair for the launch of Fund II in 2019 and has since led seven investments in new companies and enjoys actively supporting their founders on and off their boards. He also helped found Playfair’s D&I initiative: Female Founder Office Hours and now runs it with the team. He was recently named as one of Sifted’s Top 30 Young Venture Capitalists.
